Every face has a story.

I believe the most meaningful skincare begins with understanding the person, not simply the skin. Before I reach for products or techniques, I begin by listening.

Whether you're navigating acne, hormonal changes, signs of aging, jaw tension, or simply feeling the effects of a fast-paced world, you deserve to be met with curiosity rather than assumptions. My role isn't to decide what should matter to you. It's to understand what brought you here and create a treatment that supports your goals, your skin, and your overall well-being.

I believe the skin is not separate, it is revealing.

It offers glimpses into our lives, reflecting everything from stress and sleep to hormones, nutrition, inflammation, and the natural passage of time. Healthy skin rarely comes from products alone. It grows from the way we care for ourselves every day, and from recognizing that our bodies are beautifully connected.

My fascination with skincare began long before it became my profession. As a child, I was captivated by facial steaming, homemade masks, and turning simple kitchen ingredients into rituals of care. Sleepovers often became spa nights, and somewhere along the way I realized that what I loved most wasn't simply skincare, it was helping people feel cared for.

After earning my esthetics license in 2011, I spent a few years at one of Austin's premier spas before founding Merritt Skincare in August 2014. More than a decade later, I remain just as curious as I was when I first began.

That curiosity has led me to study with some of the most respected educators in advanced facial massage and holistic skincare. I am deeply grateful to have trained with Nichola Joss, Dr. Ping Zhang, Cecily Braden, Yakov Gershkovich, Helena Pahava, Ashley Jo Press, Helen Black, Britta Plug McCrae, and Fiona Harlowe. Their teachings continue to inspire my hands, my thinking, and my commitment to remaining a lifelong student while honoring those who came before me.

Every facial is thoughtfully personalized, drawing from advanced manual therapies including Sculptural Face Lifting, intraoral (buccal) massage, Gua Sha Facial Fusion, Nefeli Gua Sha, Vodder Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Connective Tissue Manipulation, Dien Chan Zone® Facial Reflexology, Manual FaceLift™, and The Inner Facial™, alongside carefully chosen technologies including LED light therapy, dynamic microcurrent, and the LYMA Laser.

Your treatment is a collaboration. I want you to feel comfortable sharing what you're experiencing, asking questions, or letting me know if there's anything I can do to help you feel more comfortable along the way. This is your time, and your experience matters.

No two facials are ever exactly alike, because no two days in your life are exactly alike. Even if we've met before, I want each appointment to meet you where you are that day. Together, we'll discover what feels right for you.

Over the years, I've learned that people rarely arrive carrying only skincare concerns. Sometimes they carry stress. Sometimes they carry grief. Sometimes they're simply carrying too much. My hope is that, for a little while, you feel no pressure to be anything other than exactly who you are when you walk through my door.

I believe the benefits of a truly great facial don’t end when you leave my treatment room. I hope your experience continues through the small, daily choices that help you feel nourished, grounded, and deeply connected to yourself in meaningful ways.

There are many talented facialists, and I deeply respect this profession. My hope has never been to convince someone that I am the right practitioner for everyone. Instead, I hope the people who are meant to find me feel a quiet sense of recognition when they arrive here. If these words feel like home to you, it would be my privilege to welcome you into my treatment room and care for you in the way I know best.
